GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF OREGON Whereas, the
Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians has
proposed building and operating a gambling casino in the Florence area
of Lane County, Oregon, and
Whereas, we
the undersigned citizens of the Florence area believe that the casino
would be
detrimental to our community,
Now therefore, we do hereby petition the Honorable Ted Kulongoski, governor of the state of Oregon, and the U.S. Secretary of the Interior to oppose said proposed casino and to initiate legal actions as necessary to stop the approval, building, and operation of the casino. |
